FieldTurf is a replica of natural grass. All other turf companies are attempting to copy FieldTurf. They hire temporary workers to install their lower quality turf. Many are even operating without a valid California Contractors License. False. There are five synthetic turf manufacturers in the United States. FieldTurf is one of them. The difference is that EasyTurf is the only place where you can get FieldTurf. FieldTurf is the only turf company that manufactures their own turf. ALL other turf companies buy from the other four manufacturers and “private label” the turf with their name. Anyone with a checkbook can buy turf from these other manufacturers. There is no comparison on the quality control between the others and FieldTurf.
True, IF they are talking about the area of the country that turf is manufactured. All synthetic turf is produced in the Dalton, Georgia area, the carpet and synthetic turf manufacturing capital of the world!
FieldTurf has a patented porous backing to their turf which cannot be replicated. It drains 40-60 gallons of water an hour. Most all other turf manufacturers drill holes for drainage. Common sense will tell you that hole-drilled turf will not drain as well, especially dog urine. Just ask the San Diego Humane Society who had extremely stringent drainage requirements due to the large number of dogs constantly on the turf. Of course, they chose FieldTurf!
Sure, if you like matted down and hard turf. Infill is the agent that provides cushion and keeps the blades standing up. Any non-infilled product will mat down and be hard as a rock…guaranteed!
All synthetic turf is warmer than natural grass because real grass has water running through it. FieldTurf does not get any hotter than any other company’s turf.
Not proven even in lab rats! SeaWorld, The San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, The San Diego Humane Society, as well as numerous other facilities such as daycare centers, would not have installed a product that would be hazardous to their patrons...human or beast!
Only if you want turf that will crunch under your feet, fade and absorb liquids. Nylon is old technology and has the same fiber found in indoor carpeting and yesterday’s AstroTurf, which has since been replaced in every major arena, stadium, and ball field throughout America.

Use a licensed contractor. They are covered by the necessary bonding, insurance and workers’ compensation to protect you, the homeowner. Without a license, you become liable.
The Contractors State License Board is an excellent source of information for the knowledgable consumer who wants to be certain that the job is done right and the things that you as a homeowner can do to avoid costly mistakes and misunderstandings in dealing with your contractor.
Check the CSLB Web site, www.cslb.ca.gov, or call the Contractors State License Board at (800) 321-CSLB, to make sure the contractor is properly licensed in the class for the work to be performed, and the license is in good standing.
In California, anyone who contracts to perform work that is valued at $500 or more for materials and labor must legally hold a current, valid license from the Contractors State License Board in the specialty for which he or she is contracting.

Check to make certain that the company you are considering is a BBB member in good standing and has resolved any issues filed about them.
Make certain that your warranty will stay in business if the company you select does not. Check out the specific issues that the warranty covers. Some companies will only cover fading of the turf - not workmanship or wear and tear.
Sending only trained and supervised installers to your home gives you the assurance that your installation will be done right the first time. Some turf companies run a promotion claiming they will “pay the sales tax" on your installation. Know that there is no sales tax on a landscaping installation. If anyone offers to "Pay Your Sales Tax", you should be aware that you are dealing with a company that is trying to take advantage of people that they think don't know any better.
