Regarding FieldTurf
After months of research, visiting sites in Oregon and Washington, and
consultation with authorities at the University of Washington and
Nebraska, we decided to have FieldTurf installed on the campus of
Grossmont College. After a year of constant daily use, we realize it's
been the best thing that has ever happened to our athletic program.
Both our football team and the soccer team practice daily on the field,
as well as play a complete home game schedule. We also use it every
day, all day, in our physical education activity classes and have been
inundated with requests to rent the field from such organizations as
the Chargers, all star soccer teams, police association, DI combines,
camps, etc.
It doesn’t matter what the elements are, the field is always the same - PERFECT! The insight of the administration here for purchasing this field has been ingenious. It should, in the next few years, pay for itself because of a lack of maintenance and renovation, as well as rental fees collected.
Some here call it the “miracle field”. I call it “God sent”. Our injuries are down and we haven't lost a game on it yet. THANKS FIELDTURF!
